Who We Are

We are Dean and Phil. Our first Social Media experience began in Australia, 2010 when we created and managed our first Facebook and Instagram business accounts for the 2 companies we worked for. Since moving back to South Africa we have concentrated more on Social Media and now manage the socials of OK Foods Stores, STIHL distributors, Build it Stores and a collection of small businesses.

How Does It Work

We look forward to having you join our team. Here is an overview of what we offer and how we propose doing it.

 

To begin, we will either create new Social Media accounts for you from scratch (No set up fees for our OK Store clients), or we will walk you through connecting us to any established social media. Don't worry, we will guide you step by step. Once we are connected, or created new, we will ensure you are correctly set up and own your digital assets to use going forward.

 

 We will then begin with a regular schedule of posting as that is how Meta’s algorithm notices and suggests followers, as well as joining and posting to local groups.  Once completed and your profile set up, we recommend using Meta Ads to very quickly put your socials in front of customers and build a useful following. By useful, we mean geographically close enough to the store to convert into actual “feet”, or being in the area very often. R24 a day is the entry level budget for a Meta Ad campaign to run, so the more budget you add, the more you can layer options and grow your socials. Over and above Meta Ads, we would also like to note that photos from inside the store add to the success on social media and it allows a “story telling” element that followers respond to as much as specials.

Lets Get The Ball Rolling

We find that Facebook is still the dominant social media platform in South Africa currently, in terms of local reach, community interaction, and sales conversion. As Facebook is still the most effective way of promoting to all demographics, we focus on that while monitoring Instagram, and now Tiktok accounts. Should they become more relevant, we will shift our energies there for our clients. We do suggest to our clients to use Business WhatsApp as an additional store contact. WhatsApp is quickly becoming the preferred means of communication with customers and is being integrated into Meta services. We can assist in linking Instagram, Tiktok and/ or Business WhatsApp profiles you have as a free service, and any post scheduling or other organic management is available for additional monthly costs. We are always happy to trial suggestions, learn and grow towards getting more customers in our clients' stores.


Reach is the total number of people who see your content

Engagement is a measure of how people are interacting with your content. For example: Likes and Favorites. Comments, Direct Messages, Replies

Please also note: Since Jan 2024, Meta has throttled business profiles engagement to move businesses to “Pay-to-Play” with Meta Adverts. The minimum cost of Meta  Advertising is R24 a day, which we offer to our Corporate clients at cost from Meta.

The first thing we do is connect to your business through the Business Manager with Partner access, and an Admin connection to Phil Steynberg profile with full permissions. We can do this step by step over the phone, or you can provide me with your Facebook log in details. I will log in as you (you will need to verify it as I do) to create the setup. You can change your password after that for your own peace of mind.

Your account is then set up to reflect your correct business contacts, hours, website, and usernames. Your profile picture and banners are matched to the National Mother account.

We then post and promote your weekly content, interspersed with other interesting content to attract customers and balance your content between advertising and entertaining. This is achieved using a WhatsApp group where we get content from you in the form of in store images, and have you check the accuracy of the content we create from them. Once a relationship grows, we find this becomes quick and easy. We have access to the Owner’s Portal so have all the relevant Promotional and Specials Catalogues.

We make sure to add any T&Cs and useful hashtags to all posts and tag the relevant pages.

Business notices are posted about in advance, like stock take days or changes to business hours on holidays etc.

We reply to messages and direct customers in the right direction, or answer standard questions immediately. (“What time do you close today?”  for example). WhatsApp Business has been joined to Meta Business Suite, but we will leave all WhatsApp Business messages to be replied to in store directly.

We respond to both good and bad reviews in a professional manner.

Comments on social media platforms are monitored for spam, questions, feedback or issues and dealt with professionally.

We encourage owners to be admins of the Facebook Pages so they can easily see what we are doing and how we operate. Complete transparency.

Your store’s analytics are monitored to check that the information is reaching the right demographic and working to its best advantage. Time of day, type of media used, links to other pages, useful hashtags etc is important in getting information successfully to your potential customers.

If you would like to run competitions, we will assist in creating those.

Lastly, we advertise any job vacancies, and funnel the applicants to your requested email address.
